In 1872 it was opened as the Post Museum. However gradually communication means were developing and the exposition was growing. Modern museum devoted to various means of communication was opened in 2000. It displays the oldest collection of postal stamps including the most expensive stamp in the world, the Blue Mauritius (its estimated value is several millions Euro). Exposition of the museum also displays old telephones, television lamps, old stamps vending machines and many other interesting objects. Visitors are especially excited by the friendly robots that welcome visitors of the museum at the entrance and tell the story about the museum.
