Ephraim-Palais

Ephraim-Palais

Berliners have always called this beautiful palace and neighbouring suburb the prettiest corner of Berlin. This building designed in the Baroque style certainly catches one’s attention at a glance. The building was constructed by jeweller and financier Veitel Heine Ephraim who made his fortune by making false coins. This magnificent palace built on funds dishonestly earned irritated Berliners. Now the palace houses a department of the City Museum. It hosts changing exhibitions of Berlin history. The beautiful facade of the palace does not irritate the citizens anymore but rather impresses everyone walking by.
