Mayakovsky Museum

1974. This museum commemorates Vladimir Mayakovsky – one of the most avant-garde Soviet poets. The museum has the same extraordinary style as Mayakovsky’s poems. "Four floors of total installation" is the critics’ description of the museum. The poet lived and worked in this building in 1919-1930. The room where he committed a suicide is part of the museum. Today the main building of the museum is closed for renovation. The museum works at the temporary site: Malaya Dmitrovka St., 29, building 4.
