Minin and Pozharsky Monument, Red Square

Pamyatnik Mininu i Pozharskomu

1818. Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky were the leaders of all-Russian volunteer army and contributed much into the victory over Poland in 1612. Originally, the statue stood in the center of Red Square but was moved to its current location in 1930’s as it was obstructing parades on the square.
